Monday March 3, 2025 – Sunday March 17, 2025 (Subject to change)

Contest Keyword Times:
Weekdays: 9:00am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Contest times are not exact and guaranteed. Contest Keyword announcements could be within Five (5) minutes of the stated time. No Contest Keyword on Grand Prize Monday at 9:00a. At 96.7 KCAL-FM’s discretion, specific days and times may be changed at any time. An announcement to that change will be made on-air at the time of that change.
Grand Prize Drawings:
Grand Prize Drawings will take place on Monday March 17th at the approximately time of 9:00a. Must be listening to win Grand Prize.
Grand Prize:
$500 (Five Hundred Dollars, equal to 55 dozen eggs at $9 per dozen (the current average price in Riverside/San Bernardino counties at the start of the contest). Equivalent of 16 eggs per week for the final 41 weeks of 2025) One winner per household of any cash amount during this contest
Total Grand Prizes:
(1) Total Grand Prizes will be handed out during this promotion.
Taxes / 1099:

Winner must provide 96.7 KCAL-FM with a current, valid government issued picture identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security card before any prize will be awarded.

Any person winning over $600 in prizes in a calendar year will receive an IRS Form 1099 at the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.

Prize money in any denomination will be in the form of a check. All checks must be picked up at the KCAL Studios at 1940 Orange Tree Lane Suite 200, Redlands Ca 92374 during regular business hours. Allow 6-8 weeks. Due to potential HEALTH restrictions, an appointment to pick up a prize at the KOLA studios will be required.
Eligibility:

Prizes available on 96.7 KCAL-FM may only, at times, and at the discretion of the client providing the prize, be delivered through electronic means. Those electronic means may require a valid email address, a downloaded app to a smart device or any other type of technical requirement in order to redeem said contest prize. If the potential winner does not comply or wish to comply with the technical requirements to redeem the prize, then that prize designated will automatically be forfeited and a new recipient/winner may or may not be chosen. There is no substitute prize or replacement prize for any person who does not wish to comply with the requirements to redeem that stated prize.

Any potential winner, even if announced, is subject to verification. If potential winner does not meet all requirements, no prize will be awarded regardless of any announcement of a winner’s status. All contestants (qualifiers) must be at least 18 years of age for this contest.

96.7 KCAL-FM is not responsible for the inability of the listener to enter through technical, mechanical, or other errors associated with entering said contest.
•
Employees and agents/vendors of 96.7 KCAL-FM, Anaheim Broadcasting and their families, their advertising agencies or representatives, including employees of Participating Sponsors or Provider of said Prize and any family members related to an employee who is involved in any way with the contest prize or elements of the contest prize, are ineligible to enter this contest conducted by 96.7 KCAL-FM.

Generally, all prizes must be claimed in-person at the KOLA Business Office – 1940 Orange Tree Lane Suite 200, Redlands Ca 92374 – within 30 days of being contacted by 96.7 KCAL-FM that the prize is available for pickup. If not picked up within 30 days of being contacted – that the prize is available, that said prize is forfeited. 96.7 KCAL-FM may, due to the unavailability of prizes awarded, substitute another prize of equal or greater value for the prize originally won. Prizes are not transferrable to any other person. All Prize Winners are encouraged to call KCAL Promotions (1-909-793-3554 x232) prior to picking up a prize to confirm that said prize is available at the time of their proposed arrival.

Methods of winning is a Text Contest

Text Contests During the contest times listed above, listeners may be encouraged through a contest solicit to text in the “keyword” announced at that time to 1-909-431-4967. In the case of contests involving texting, all data fees and charges apply and KCAL is not responsible for any fees or charges that coincide with the listeners ability to enter through texting. Additionally, by texting KCAL for requests, comments on topics, inquiries or any contest, it’s understood that you will receive a reply containing an advertisement. All data fees and charges apply per your existing texting or data plan.
•
The contest period consists of the solicit at the prescribed range of times and the collection of texts during that time period, which is 9 minutes and 67 seconds (10 minutes 7 seconds. That is, upon hearing the “keyword” for that particular contest time, the contestants have only 9 minutes 67 seconds to text that “keyword” to 1-909-431-4967 in order to be considered for the random drawing for that specific contest time. Each contest entry is separate. No entries are held over or considered during any other contest times that day or during any contest day. Contestants must enter each contest separately with the correct “keyword”.

In the case of “Free Eggs for the Rest of the Year!” the contestant will win the grand prize described above on Monday, March 24th at approximately 9am.

Only one entry per household for each of entry periods
Grand Prize Drawing:
On schedule grand prize day, a potential winner will be chosen in a random drawing consisting of all contestants who correctly entered at least (1) Contest Keyword during previous 2 weeks of contesting. The more Contest Keywords entered correctly each
weekday by a contestant, the more entries they’ll have in that Grand Prize Drawing. All contestants must be at least 18 years of age.
•
At approximately 9:00am on the scheduled Grand Prize day, a random drawing will be held as to who is the person identified as the potential winner of the Grand Prize. The host will call the number submitted by the chosen entrant and let the phone ring at least five times. That entrant MUST answer the phone to win. If that person answers the phone, that person (subject to meeting eligibility requirements) will be announced as the “Grand Prize Winner” and win the stated above Grand Prize.
•
If the person, who’s name was drawn at or around 9:00a, does not answer their phone within the allotted time, that person DOES NOT WIN the stated “Grand Prize”. KCAL is not responsible for the inability of a person to answer their phone at the determined time and their will be no consideration for extenuating circumstances.
•
If the chosen entrant does not answer their phone in the allotted time, the process repeats and another name will be chosen randomly and called until an entrant answers and that person (subject to meeting eligibility requirements) will be announced as the winner of the “Grand Prize”.
•
Prize consists only of the item(s) specifically listed as part of the prize and does not include additional fees, gratuities, travel expenses and or taxes associated with the use or claiming of this prize. See Disclosure below.
Exceptions:
A listener shall only win a maximum of (1) cash prize of any amount in any 30-day period.
Grand prize is based on the concept of the average person purchasing 16 eggs per week for the 41 weeks remaining in the year 2025. That person would need 55 dozen eggs. At the
price of $9 per dozen (the current average price in Riverside/San Bernardino counties at the start of the contest), the total for the year would be $500.
