The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley is Hosting “Critter Camps”
April 10 @ 8:00 am - June 30 @ 5:00 pm

The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley is hosting two summer “Critter Camps” – a week-long, interactive, learning experience for students entering the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades. The camp will be held on June 16-20 and July 7 – 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Through this hands-on camp, children will get to experience all the excitement of interacting with live animals safely. During Critter Camp students will broaden their understanding of what it means to treat animals with kindness by meeting all kinds of different animals from reptiles and bugs to horses, dogs and birds, and learning about how they live. This includes daily crafts and games that reinforce a variety of lessons about the animals we share a planet with.
Lessons will focus on how these animals live, and in what type of habitat they live in, the different adaptations these animals have, what they eat, and even what their footprints might look like!
Students will even get the opportunity to share what they learned during the week with those at home, by completing a final animal art project on an animal of their choice that they will work on for the duration of the week!
The fee to attend Critter Camp for the week is just $60 per student for the entire week. Limited partial financial assistance is available. To register your child for Critter Camp visit www.hssbv.org/Upcoming-Events , call 909-386-1400 ext 218 or stop by the HSSBV (374 W Orange Show Road, San Bernardino). Please register by June 6th for the 1st camp and June 30th for the 2nd camp.
