The Department of Children and Family Services (CFS) has launched a community outreach effort that will educate residents on how to become foster parents and help strengthen and support families.

Residents will have opportunities to meet CFS staff at outreach events and learn about department services and how to foster or adopt the many children and youth in need of loving homes.

“We’re interested in making sure that people know that we’re here as a resource,” said Jeany Zepeda, Director. “We want to help strengthen families and communities.”

You can meet CFS staff about becoming a foster parent at National Night Out on Aug. 2 at 4 p.m. at the San Bernardino Police Department, 710 N. D. St. in San Bernardino.
