Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Offers Support to Those Impacted by Impaired Drivers

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) offers trained victim advocates and volunteers who offer support to those impacted by impaired drivers, at no cost. This includes:
– a 24/7 helpline
– emotional support
– guidance through the justice system
– assistance with Crime Victim Compensation
– accompaniment of victims and survivors to court
– assistance with a victim impact statement
– referral to additional resources
– group support
– connection to other victims and survivors
– honoring and remembering those lost to impaired drivers

The summer season is here and with more opportunities for gatherings it’s important to remember to call an Uber or find a DD if you have been drinking. The purpose of this organization is not to be against choosing to partake in substances but to educate people on the importance of not driving while under the influence.
