Visitors watch flowing data sculptures at the exhibition "Refik Anadol. Machine Hallucinations" at the Kunstpalast art museum in Duesseldorf, Germany, Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Turkish artist Refik Anadol used a machine learning framework to let Artificial Intelligence use two million images captured and recorded by the International Space Station (ISS) and Hubble space telescopes as well as the Magdalena Ridge Observatory (MRO) to create artwork where invisible data becomes visible to the human eye, offering a new narrative of the digitalised world. “Music From Below: A History and Future of Chicano Music”
Saturday, June 17, 2023, 7pm to 10pm
Riverside Municipal Auditorium

As two of the most important groups to emerge from the Chicanx community, Quetzal and La Santa Cecilia are uniquely positioned to present this night of songs and multimedia history highlighting important yet, under-recognized contributions of Chicanx musicians and songwriters in the landscape of popular music and social justice movements. This historic concert and musical collaboration will offer up stories and songs past and present that originated along and across imaginary and physical borders. The diverse repertoire will represent and span the history of US/Mexico relations and will feature important compositions from artists such as Don Tosti, Lalo Guerrero, Lydia Mendoza, Los Lobos, Alice Bag and Las Hermanas Herrera, to name a few.
