Riverside County
CORONA
The city’s Holiday Lighting Celebration is set for Sunday, Dec. 3.
The event is will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the front lawn of the Historic Civic Center, 815 W. 6th St.
EASTVALE
The Miracle at Riverview event will feature snow fields and slides, visits with Santa, food, vendors and other activities.
The event is set for Saturday, Dec. 16, and Sunday, Dec. 17, at Riverview Recreation Park, 14600 Baron Drive, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

FRENCH VALLEY, MENIFEE
Two Gingerbread House events have been scheduled by the Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District.
The cost is $3 per kit, and tickets must be bought in advance at the facilities or at gorecreation.org.
The first will be Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the French Valley Community Center, 31757 Browning St.
The second will be Thursday, Dec. 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Marion V. Ashley Community Center, 25625 Briggs Road, Menifee.

HEMET
Hemet’s annual Christmas Parade will make its way down Florida Avenue starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2.
The “Christmas Movie Magic”-themed event will bring community groups, car clubs and school bands. Starting at Gilbert Street and Florida Avenue, the parade route will travel to Santa Fe Street.
Afterward, a Christmas in the Park gathering will be at Weston Park, 130 N. Thompson St.

JURUPA VALLEY
The city’s annual tree lighting ceremony will be Friday, Dec. 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

LAKE ELSINORE
The city will host Winterfest on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The event will be in Gediman Square, on Main Street between E. Peck Street and E. Heald Avenue. It will include entertainment, sled runs, vendors and a parade.
Photos with Santa will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. A tree lighting is set for 7 p.m.
The Night of Lights Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. It will start at N. Langstaff Street and W. Graham Avenue, then travel down Main Street until W. Sumner Avenue.

MENIFEE
The city is sponsoring a Christmas Tree lighting and Breakfast with Santa events.
The lighting will be Saturday, Dec. 2, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mt. San Jacinto College’s Menifee Valley Campus, 28237 La Piedra Road. It will include a parade, food and craft vendors and performances. Admission to a snow zone is free with a donation to the Menifee Community Cupboard booth or with an unwrapped gift for Santa’s Workshop.
The breakfast, which includes photos with Santa and crafts, will be Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Kay Ceniceros Senior Center, 29995 Evans Road. There will be three sessions: 8 a.m., 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Participants must register. The cost is $12 per person. Those 2 and younger are free.

MORENO VALLEY
The city will host its annual Snow Day and Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 2.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Civic Center Amphitheater will host the snow event. The cost is $6 for residents and $8 for non-residents. Wristbands can be bought at the city’s Conference and Recreation Center until Thursday, Nov. 30, at 5 p.m. If still available the day of the event, they can be bought at the center starting at 9 a.m.
After the event concludes, a 30-foot-tall tree will be lit in a 5:45 p.m. ceremony in front of Moreno Valley City Hall. The event will feature entertainment, free hot cocoa and cookies and Santa.

NORCO
The city will host its Breakfast with Santa and Christmas Festival and Parade of Lights on Saturday, Dec. 9.
The breakfast is set for 7:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Ingalls Event Center, 3737 Crestview Drive. Tickets must be purchased online, and cost $5 per person.
The festival, which will include entertainment, food and vendors, will run from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Ingalls Event Center. Admission is free, but activity wristbands cost $10 per person and will be sold online and at the gate. Activities will include train and pony rides, a petting zoo, games and crafts.
The 5 p.m. parade will proceed along 6th Street, from Corona Avenue to the Ingalls Event Center.

PERRIS
The city’s 35th annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be Friday, Dec. 1, at City Hall.
The event is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 101 N. D St. The tree will be lit at 6 p.m. The event also will include performances from local groups, visits and photos with Santa, a petting zoo and free desserts.
RIVERSIDE
The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa’s Festival of Lights is on nightly through Jan. 7.
The festival runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. near the downtown hotel. Some attractions will end Dec. 31.
The event includes food, vendors, Santa visits, ice skating and lights and figurines decorating the Mission Inn, 3649 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside. Skating is $20 a person.

RIVERSIDE
A Snow Day is planned for Saturday, Dec. 2, at an Eastside park.
The city event is from 9 a.m. to noon and will include 100 tons of snow for sledding, crafts, entertainment, games, face painting and food vendors. The event will be at Bordwell Park, 2008 Martin Luther King Blvd.
Wristbands to enter the youth fun-zone and for 25 minutes of sledding can be bought online or at any city community center. They are $2 for residents and $3 for non-residents.

RIVERSIDE
The 19th annual Chanukah (Hanukkah) Festival will take place Monday, Dec. 11, in downtown Riverside.
The free event is set for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in front of the Riverside Historic Courthouse, 4050 Main St. Organized by the Chabad Jewish Community Center of Riverside, it will include the lighting of a menorah – which the group says is the largest in the region – live music, traditional foods and entertainment.

SAN JACINTO
Two holiday events hosted by the Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District are coming up in the city.
A tree lighting is set for Friday, Dec. 1, at 5:30 p.m. at Regional Park, 901 W. Esplanade Ave. Afterward, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be screened. The event also will feature free refreshments and visits with Santa.
Also at the park, Breakfast with Santa will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Michael Paul Gym. The cost is $3 per person. The event includes a pancake breakfast, activities and raffle drawings for prizes including bikes and a $600 Disney gift card donated by Friends of Valley-Wide Foundation. TEMECULA
Santa’s Electric Light Parade returns to Old Town Temecula on Friday, Dec. 1.
The 7 p.m. event will begin at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Del Rio Road and will head south on Old Town Front Street. Lights, music, community groups and classic cars will participate.
Free parking is in the Old Town Parking Garage, at the 6th Street parking lot and dirt lots near Santiago and Ynez roads. Streets surrounding the parade route will be closed in advance.

Grinch’mas in Winchester is set for Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The free event will be at the Winchester Community Center, 32665 Haddock St., and is sponsored by the Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District. It will feature a visit from the Grinch, a reading of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” raffles and refreshments.

CHINO
Santa’s Workshop takes over City Hall from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2.
The event will feature visits with Santa, a craft corner and carolers. A tree-lighting ceremony is at 6 p.m. Events will be on the lawn at Chino City Hall, 13220 Central Ave.
A week later, the Chino Youth Christmas Parade & Fair kicks off at 9 a.m. Dec. 9 at Riverside Drive and Monte Vista Avenue. The Holiday Fair and Carnival at Civic Center will follow with carnival rides, a craft fair, entertainment, food and Santa’s Village at the Chino Youth Museum.

CHINO HILLS
A tree-lighting ceremony will kick off holiday festivities from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Chino Hills Government Center, 14000 City Center Drive.
Community members can enjoy crafts, games and letters to Santa beginning at 5 p.m., followed by Santa’s arrival and the tree lighting at 6:15 p.m. Visits with Santa will run until 8 p.m.

A tree-lighting ceremony will usher in the holidays at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Colton City Hall, 650 N. La Cadena Drive.
The festivities will continue Saturday, Dec. 2, with a parade sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce beginning at 10 a.m. and a Winter Wonderland carnival from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fleming Park, 525 N. La Cadena Drive.

SAN BERNARDINO
The Community HoHo Parade will return to San Bernardino starting Monday, Dec. 4, for four days of holiday festivities.
Santa and his pals will gather at 5 p.m. each night before heading out at 6 p.m. to cruise the city and greet children along the route.
Parties at the end of each route will be at 6:20 p.m. and will include a movie showing. Santa will join about 8 p.m. when the parade ends.

SAN BERNARDINO
The Miracle on Court Street is back for its second year in a row, kicking of with a tree-lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at Court Street Square, 349 N. E St.
Court Street Square will be transformed into a winter wonderland Dec. 4 to 16 with ice skating, falling snow, train rides, visits with Santa and hot chocolate. Most activities are free but there is a $5 charge for 30 minutes of ice skating.
Hours are 5 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., Monday through Friday; 2 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Saturday; and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
